Along with probably thousands of other people this week, we’ve sent birthday greetings to the Dalai Lama.

Our message is being posted on a wall outside the main temple in Dharamsala, India, but whether he’ll actually get to see it personally is anybody’s guess.
He was 75-years-old on Wednesday and has been head of state and the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people since the age of two.
We’ve never met him, nor are likely to, but he remains an inspiration to us in the way his life is dedicated to a single pure purpose of doing good.
There is a slight connection, however, and no, we’re not Buddhists. It is that John has studied Transcendental Meditation as taught by the late Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Yes, he’s the one who mentored The Beatles.
Transcendental Meditation is said to be based on a form of Buddhism prayer.
It helps you to find inner peace and to clear your mind so you can think with more clarity and work more efficiently.
The Maharishi was dedicated to world peace in a similar manner to the Dalai Lama.
